There are many good beaches within an easy drive of our properties - from long stretches of sand with watersports and seafood bars, to tranquil, deserted coves Our favourite beach - El Cañuelo - is described by The Telegraph ("excellent for snorkelling and scuba diving") and The Guardian ("stunning") as one of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol. Set in a natural park with crystal clear water it´s deserted for much of the year. |
"the beach in Maro is a paradise, especially early in the morning" Ozlem and Mert Istanbul
“We discovered some lovely beaches and the weather was hot so we were able to swim which was good for the end of October. We particularly liked Maro beach and the coves further east which are completely unspoilt”

"On the N340, 6km east of Maro, turn off at
the small sign reading 'Playa de Cañuelo'. . .the beach is beautiful and quite empty during our visit in May, well worth the drive" Gabe and Adri from Boston USA |
Village pools are open between the end of June and early September
"The pool at Almáchar is a five minute walk from the house (Casa de Luz). It´s friendly, not too crowded and has a nice bar. You can always take a five minute run down the hill to the new pool at El Borge which is fantastic!!!!" Nicola Cussons and family (party of ten) London
