cycling holidays, road training and road racing in southern Spain
An hour from Málaga Airport - among breathtaking scenery in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Tejeda Mountains cyclists at all levels can explore a stunning landscape. Families bring bikes and carry frames that they strap to their hire car and drive to our two bedroom cottage in Cutar. A couple of athlete cyclists assembled their bikes at the airport, sped along the coast to Rincon de la Victoria, and then turned north for the long trek up and and over the mountain and to us. Never expecting them to arrive, were were delighted to be able to meet them in the bar at Cutar for a beer in the late afternoon before taking them to the one bedroom cottage with its little bike park on the patio .
Cycle clubs and informal groups of cyclists enjoy the facilities of the big house in Almachar where they can take a self catering deal or get their breakfasts and evening meals provided. The front patio can take ten bikes securely and safely and the house is positioned for a quick getaway. Road racers will find an undiscovered landscape ideal for endurance, sprinting and climbing along a medium to medium-hard terrain at a price well below that of fashionable and better known resorts.
