Cheap Flights and economy flights to and from Málaga airport

Picture
Our nearest airport is Málaga - about one hours drive away. Customers sometimes use Jerez or Granada airports if they don't mind the long drive or are touring.
You can get a flight to Málaga from many parts of the world - for a full list of airlines and where they fly from see

Good value flights are easy to find with economy airlines off season, but harder as the high season and summer holidays approach. The following examples apply to British tourists, but the principles of searching for value travel apply to tourists of all nationalities. We suggest that you consult low fare agencies using searches such as Lowcostholidays or Opodo (for example). Calculate your fare and to book using this form, but always compare their prices to the actual price, consulting the actual airline. They may be adding a surcharge. Also see below before you finally commit.

During the high season and summer holidays, we recommend that you take a very broad view about where you can find cheap flights and in the summer, look to charter flights as well as the economy airlines such as Easyjet. Easy Jet is a great economy airline but is not always the cheapest option all year round.
British Airlines bargains are worth a look. Thompson holidays also have bargain charter flights – for an overview try

developing a strategy

When you use Thompson, Easy Jet or others, consider leaving from less popular or provincial
airport like Jerez or Granada and driving an hour or two to us. You  might also consider a drive to and/or from a less popular airport in their country of departure. If you do use Easyjet or other economy airlines, also consider small airports that are not the most popular (In England, for example, airports other than Luton). In high season, you might profit from a mix and match – one bargain deal out and different one back.
August is the cruellest month for travel. Flights can be congested, uncomfortable and expensive. If you have to take a holiday in August because of school holidays or for other reasons, to get a good deal try to:

  1. Book as early as you can
  2. Consult charters and economy flights
  3. Consider all viable airports at home and at your destination
  4. Register with economy airlines such as EasyJet so that they will inform you by email when they are having a last minute sales or deals. These sometimes last only 24 hours and can be very cheap
