Half an hour from Malaga Airport in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Tejeda Mountains, among breathtaking scenery, road racers will find an undiscovered landscape ideal for endurance, sprinting and climbing.
This is the approach road to the beautiful village of Almachar - a little known haven for cyclists. The countryside around Almachar and Cutar has a growing reputation as varied and highly effective training terrain. It remains very accessible (within 35 mins of Malaga airport) and considerably cheaper than other training resorts, the perfect solution as a training holiday for cyclists.
At the Casa de Luz (House of Lights) in Almachar, we can put up parties of six to ten. You can leave your bike in complete security on the forecourt, stay together at the Casa, find a good breakfast ready for you first thing in the morning so you can get straight onto the road. After a day on the open road you return to a hot meal, have a drink in one of the villages many bars if you wish, to find clean, comfortable, secure accommodation within a short walk.
