A substantial village cottage, completely self contained with a private garden, situated in the delightful and little known white village of Cutar. The cottage has been completely renovated inside and out in the Andalucian style, preserving thetraditional features, but including modern appliances. Ideal for young families, the cottage is also rentable at a reduced rate for a single person or couple.

The cottage is deal for two couples or a family,    especially  families with little children.

The living room (left)
The door of the cottage opens into a large living area with an attractive open fireplace in traditional brickwork. The high beamed ceilings help stabilize the summer and winter temperatures.

The living room has substantial quality furnishings designed to enhanced the Moorish-Spanish feel of the space. It has two main areas: a cosy area with soft furnishings around the fire at one end, and at the other a dining table with chairs.

It is decorated with hand woven rugs on the walls and floor, and pictures that complement the feel of the building.

There is a Sony CD player and radio, a DVD plus a television that receives Spanish stations and plays video tapes. A selection of videos, CDs and DVDs are provided, as well as books and games for the unusual rainy day or the long summer evening
The bedrooms
There are two bedrooms, large and simply furnished, one with a double and the other with twin single beds

Each bedroom has a large window overlooking the Cutar Valley, laid down to grape, avocado, mango, almond and citrus.The beds, with traditional headboards, are made up with  Egyptian cotton bed linen which is changed weekly.

The kitchen and bathroom
The substantial and well appointed kitchen dining room includes a gas hob and a microwave oven. There is a new, spacious fridge freezer, a double sink with ceramic bowls, an electric kettle, toaster and fruit juicer. The crockery is white with traditional ceramic pot oven and tableware. The kitchen is large enough to include a table and six dining chairs. A small utility room leads off of the kitchen with and iron and ironing board, cleaning equipment, sun umbrellas for the beach and a paddling pool which can be put in the garden for small children....

The bathroom is tiled in the Spanish style with a full bathroom suite in white including bath, shower, sink and bidet.  Good quality bath and hand towels and a hairdryer are included.
The terrace garden
Walk through the kitchen onto the terrace.
Paved in terracotta and edged with a fragrant Jasmine hedge, it has a selection of scented English (David Austin) and Spanish Roses.
There is also a moonflower arch (see left), flowering catci and a variety of seasonal exotic plants.

There is a covered dining area with barbeque, from which it is possible to see Mount Maroma over the jasmine hedge.
